Welcome! This article takes you from purchase to a running EA.

1. Download the EA

Log in to your client portal and open Downloads. Download the latest version zip.

2. Install in MT5

Extract the zip and copy ApexDrawdownZero_V9.ex5 into your MT5 data folder under MQL5/Experts (File > Open Data Folder in MT5). Restart MT5. Full walkthrough: EA installation guide.

3. Enter your license

Attach the EA to a chart. On the Inputs tab set:

  • LicenseKey — from the Licenses page in your portal
  • MT5AccountNumber — the account the EA will trade

4. Verify activation

The Experts tab should log License valid. If not, see license troubleshooting.

5. Configure risk

Risk is controlled per trade and by frequency. The defaults are RiskPercent 1.0 (risk per trade), OneTradePerDay and StopAfterWin on, and an ATR-based stop-loss on every trade (UseAtrStop, AtrStopMult 2.5).

Apex has no account-level daily-loss or maximum-drawdown halt. On a prop-firm account, size RiskPercent so that a run of losing trades stays well inside your firm's daily and overall limits — the EA will not stop itself at a drawdown threshold. Read the risk configuration guide before going live.
