Reporting a bug: what we need to reproduce it
A bug we can reproduce is a bug we can fix. A bug we cannot reproduce usually
sits there for months, so the detail below genuinely speeds things up.
Please include
- Product and version — the version is in the EA's About / inputs header
- Build of MetaTrader — Help → About in the terminal
- Broker and account type — demo or live, hedging or netting
- Symbol and timeframe
- What you expected to happen
- What actually happened
- Whether it happens in the Strategy Tester too, and on which dates
That last one matters more than it looks. If it reproduces in the tester, we can
usually find it the same day.
What is not a bug
- The EA not trading during its configured session windows
- Entries skipped by a spread or volatility filter
- Different results on a different broker's feed
Those are working as designed — post them in EA Support and we will help you
tune the settings instead.
