Allow it to reach the licence server. In MetaTrader:
Tools → Options → Expert Advisors, tick
“Allow WebRequest for listed URL” and add
https://mcpautomation.io.
Without this MetaTrader blocks the check and the EA will not start.
Paste your beta key into InpLicenseKey in the EA's
Inputs tab. Your key appears on this page the moment you are approved.
The key is tied to your account and
2 MT5 accounts.
Sharing it switches it off.
What it does
Apex Nasdaq is a daily opening-straddle breakout for the Nasdaq 100 index (NAS100, US100,
USTEC — the name depends on your broker).
Once a day, at the New York cash open, it places a Buy Stop above the open and a Sell Stop
the same distance below it, each with a stop loss and a take profit already attached.
Whichever side fills, the other is cancelled immediately. If neither fills within 45
minutes, both are deleted and there is no trade that day. Whatever is open is closed before
the session ends, so it is never holding a position overnight.
The lot size is worked out from your balance so that the stop loss costs exactly 1% of the
account, whatever your broker's contract size is. There is no martingale, no grid and no
averaging down. Every trade has a stop from the moment it is placed.
A dropdown called InpAggression picks the whole configuration — Conservative, Balanced,
Aggressive or Optimised — so there is only one setting most testers need to touch.
What we need you to find out
Backtesting is finished. Over 2017-12-06 to 2026-10-13 on RoboForex data at 99% quality,
the Optimised mode made +$438,884 from $10,000 at a profit factor of 1.59 with an 11.7%
maximum equity drawdown, across 1,116 trades, profitable in all nine years. On real tick
data from 2025 onwards it made +$8,613 at a profit factor of 1.38.
Those are backtest numbers on ONE broker's price history. They are not a promise and they
are not evidence that it works on your broker. That is the gap you are here to close.
What I need to know, in rough order of importance:
1. Does the open time line up on your broker? The EA is set for 16:30 server time, which is
the New York cash open on an EET/EEST broker like RoboForex. If your broker's server runs
on a different offset, the straddle is placed at the wrong moment and everything after
that is meaningless. Tell me your broker and what time the first orders appeared.
2. What is your symbol actually called, and does the EA size the lot correctly on it?
Contract sizes for the Nasdaq differ wildly between brokers. If 1% risk comes out as
something absurd on your account, that is the single most valuable bug you can find.
3. How wide is your spread at the open, and did the EA skip days because of it? There is a
maximum-spread filter. If it is skipping every day on your broker, I have set it wrong.
4. Does it actually flatten before the close, every time?
5. Anything in the Experts or Journal tab that looks like an error.
What I am NOT asking you to judge is whether it makes money over two weeks. It takes about
one trade a day and four out of ten win. Two weeks tells neither of us anything about that,
and a losing fortnight is not a bug.
What you need
• MetaTrader 5, on a demo account.
• A broker that offers the Nasdaq 100 as a CFD — NAS100, US100, USTEC or similar.
• A demo balance of at least $1,000. Below roughly $500 the broker's minimum lot becomes
the real risk setting and the 1% sizing stops meaning anything.
• The terminal needs to be on during the New York session, so a VPS helps but is not
required for testing.
• About ten minutes to install it, then two minutes to tell me what happened.
The rules, in plain words
This is unfinished software. It has not been through a full release test and it may contain mistakes that cost money.
Run it on a demo account. If you choose to run it on real money anyway, you do that entirely at your own risk and you accept every loss it causes.
MCP Automation gives no warranty of any kind on a beta build and is not liable for any loss, missed trade or account breach that comes from running it.
The build, its key and its settings are yours to test, not to share, resell, decompile or upload anywhere.
Your key is tied to your account and stops working when the beta ends or if you are removed from the programme.
You agree to post at least one honest test report. That is the whole price of admission.
Nothing here is financial advice and no result, past or simulated, promises anything about the future.
Builds
1.10b2Current · 16 Oct 2026 · 90 KB
Build 1.10b2 — licence hardening. No change to the trading logic.
- The EA now verifies that the licence server's reply is genuine, using a
signature only the real server can produce. A fake server that answers
"valid" is rejected.
- Fixed: a licence reply that arrived unreadable (a proxy hiccup, a captive
portal, a truncated read) was being treated as a definite refusal, which
stopped the EA for the rest of the session. It is now treated as a
connection problem: the EA keeps running on its cached licence and retries
within the hour. Only a reply we can actually read is allowed to say no.
- The EA reports its broker, server, account type, currency, leverage and
terminal build with each licence check, so we can see what the build is
actually being tested on. Account and terminal details only; never your
positions, your balance, or what you are trading.
Everything in 1.10b still applies: demo accounts, your own risk on real money,
and the WebRequest URL must be allowed in Tools > Options > Expert Advisors.
PACKAGING UPDATE (2026-10-16) — the EA itself is unchanged.
The download is now a zip instead of a bare .ex5. It adds the four preset
files (Conservative, Balanced, Aggressive, Optimised) and a README covering
install, the WebRequest step, which preset to start with, and the one setting
you may have to change — InpOpenHour/InpOpenMinute, which assume a broker on
EET/EEST server time. Same build 1.10b2, same .ex5 inside.
1.10b · 16 Oct 2026 · 78 KB
First beta build. Same trading logic as the version that was backtested — the
only things added are the licence check and the beta warnings.
What is in it
- Daily opening straddle on the Nasdaq 100: Buy Stop and Sell Stop either side
of the New York cash open, OCO, stop and target attached from the start.
- Four preset modes in one dropdown (InpAggression). Leave it on Balanced for
your first run unless you have a reason not to.
- Lot sizing from a risk percentage, so the stop loss costs 1% of the balance
whatever your broker's contract size is.
- Unfilled orders deleted 45 minutes after the open. Everything flat by 22:30
server time. Never holds overnight.
New settings you will see at the top
- InpLicenseKey — paste your beta key here. Nothing runs without it.
- InpDemoOnly — off by default. Turn it on and the EA refuses to start on a
real-money account at all. Recommended if you share the terminal with your
live account.
Known and expected
- It does not trade every day. No fill within 45 minutes of the open means no
trade, and that is correct behaviour, not a fault.
- The open time is set for 16:30 server time, which is the New York cash open
on an EET/EEST broker such as RoboForex. On a broker with a different server
offset you must change InpOpenHour yourself. Tell us what you had to set —
that is one of the main things this beta is trying to find out.
- Four out of ten trades win. A losing fortnight says nothing. Please do not
judge it over two weeks; just tell us what it did.
Before you start
In MetaTrader 5: Tools > Options > Expert Advisors, tick "Allow WebRequest for
listed URL" and add https://mcpautomation.io exactly. Without it the EA cannot
check your key and will not trade. It will say so on the chart.
This is an unfinished test build. It is meant for a demo account. If you run it
on real money that is your decision and your loss — there is no warranty and
MCP Automation will not cover it.
